MyGym Fitness functional training workshop on film

Workshop in a nutshell

One day on the floor → months of sales, social and website content.

Turning “that one session” into a long-term asset.

MyGym Fitness was hosting a Functional Training High-Intensity Workshop and didn’t just want a recap - they wanted proof.

Proof that their coaching standards are high. Proof that the community is serious about training. And proof they could drop into DMs, landing pages and emails without having to explain the whole concept from scratch every time.

Our job was to design the day around content: capture the sweat, the cues, the in-between moments and the member stories in a way that still feels natural on the floor.

How we built the MyGym workshop story.

From planning out beats on paper to capturing the actual chaos on the floor - here’s how the project came together.

Step 1 Pre-production

Designing the day around content (not just a “filmed class”).

We mapped the session like a storyboard: coach intros, warm-up, peak effort blocks, partner work and cool-down - plus moments where we could grab quick member reactions.

  • Clarified who the content is for: prospects + current members.
  • Planned angles to show both coaching cues and group energy.
  • Aligned on “non-negotiable” shots with the MyGym team.

Step 2 Shoot day

Capturing real effort without killing the vibe.

We moved through the room like a member would: up close for effort, wide for context, and off to the side for those in-between laughs and coach-member chats.

  • Mixed handheld energy shots with stable framing for the hero edit.
  • Captured coaching cues so you can hear standards, not just see sweat.
  • Grabbed quick post-session comments while the endorphins were high.

Step 3 Post & rollout

Building a suite: hero edit + reels + stills.

Instead of one “hype video”, we cut a complete content suite structured around how MyGym actually markets:

  • Hero case study for website, DMs and email follow-ups.
  • Multiple vertical reels for workshop promos and reminders.
  • High-res stills for feed posts, ads and stories.

What this looks like if you’re a gym.

The process is simple, but the detail is where we win - especially for busy owners who don’t want to babysit a camera all day.

1. Plan around your peak session.

We pick the workshop, challenge or flagship class that sells your brand best, then design the shoot so we’re in the way as little as possible.

2. Capture training + community.

We balance effort shots with the human moments - the chalk, the high-fives, the little coach cues that separate you from a generic gym.

3. Turn it into a system.

You walk away with reusable assets: a hero film, multiple reels and stills that can be plugged into funnels, pages and socials on repeat.

What MyGym walked away with.

One workshop. One shoot day. A full library of assets that keep working for them.

Hero case study video

1–2 minute landscape edit used on the website, in DMs and during sales conversations.

Short-form reels (x4)

Vertical edits tailored for Instagram + TikTok, each focused on a specific angle (coaching, community, intensity, member stories).

Photo stills

Exported frames + stills for feed posts, story sequences and paid ads.

Content roadmap

Simple guidance on how to deploy each asset over the next few months so the content doesn’t just “drop once and disappear”.

Every project is scoped around your schedule, session types and how you actually sell memberships.

If you’re running workshops, challenges or signature classes that deserve more than a shaky phone video, let’s build you a MyGym-level case study that actually moves memberships.
